The game sees two former Barcelona stars managing against each other on the touchlines as Pep Guardiola and Ronald Koeman meet in the Premier League for the first time.
The two were teammates for five years at the Nou Camp, playing key roles in the team that won the European Cup in 1992.
On the pitch, though, the focus will be firmly on John Stones, who swapped Merseyside for Manchester in a big-money move this summer.
Everton brought in Ashley Williams to replace the England man, so how do the two compare on the pitch this season? We decided to take a look.
As it turns out it is Stones who has had the better start as he came out on top in six of the eight areas analysed.
So far he has won more interceptions and more defensive duels than the Wales international. Williams, though, comes out on top in terms of both tackles won and aerial duels won.
Stones has posted more ball recoveries, 33 compared to 20 and won possession more times in the defensive third.
Unsurprisingly, given his ball-playing style, his passing has been better, posting more accurate passes – 339 compared to 216 – and enjoying a better overall passing accuracy.
A win for Stones then and he will be keen to come out on top again on Saturday to show Everton just what they are missing.
