Jai Quitongo is one of Scotland’s most exciting talents – no wonder Swansea City and Crystal Palace are keen.

Jai Quitongo is attracting plenty of attention at the moment. The Mail reports that Swansea City and Crystal Palace are monitoring the 20-year-old on the back of some seriously impressive performances for Scottish Championship side Morton.
Quitongo is out of contract next summer and there is no shortage of interest in the Scotland Under-21 international with the report adding that Wigan Athletic, Hull City, Preston and Brighton are also in the race for one of the hottest prospects north of the border.
And anyone who witnessed the youngster’s sublime winner against Queen of the South at the weekend, thumped home from miles out, will understand why Quitongo is a man in demand.

‘Joy to watch’
“It was Jai’s 20th birthday on Thursday but he is still such a young guy who has got plenty ahead of him,” grateful Morton manager Jim Duffy told the Scottish Sun. “He showed again he’s got a lot in his locker and we just need to help him bring it out on a more regular basis.
“He’s a joy to watch at times. He’s a crowd-pleaser – if you are a Morton fan – and he’s got talent we hope we can nurture.”

Morton are understood to be keen to offer Quitongo a new contract but, with so much interest from English clubs, it seems unlikely that the Wishaw-born number nine will be sticking around too much longer.
Swansea have brought in numerous talented youngsters from north of the border in recent seasons, the likes of Stephen Kingsley and Jay Fulton arriving in South Wales after earning rave reviews in Falkirk. Meanwhile, another Bairds kid, 18-year-old Falkirk full-back Tony Gallacher, was also linked with Swansea late in the summer window, per The Sun.
And, if Quitongo proves to be as good as Jim Duffy believes he can be, the worldie-scoring winger could be the best of the lot.
