Liverpool’s interest
Ngakia is out of contract at West Ham at the end of the month, and no new deal is in place.
Read Liverpool reported last week that Liverpool are interested in signing the 19-year-old right-back on a free transfer this summer.
The report claimed that the Premier League giants have already spoken to the representations of the teenager.
Unlikely Liverpool transfer?
It was further reported that the right-back wants to move to a club where he can play regular first-team football.
Given that Trent Alexander-Arnold has established himself as a regular at right-back at Liverpool and is one of the best young players in the world, it is unlikely that Ngakia would make the move to Anfield.
West Ham United stay?
West Ham manager Moyes has not given up on keeping the teenager at the London Stadium next season and beyond, and has said that the club are working hard to convince him to stay.
Moyes told Football.London when asked for an update on Ngakia’s contract: “We are continually in dialogue, nudging along every hour on different bits and pieces but I can’t give you anything definitive at the moment. Just to say we want him to stay, we like him and hope he chooses to stay.”
