Wolverhampton Wanderers have made Pedro Martins their number one managerial candidate to replace Bruno Lage, according to The Mirror.

Pedro Martins is Wolverhampton Wanderers’ number one managerial target

The report published this afternoon has claimed that Wolves are considering making an offer to Martins.

The Premier League club are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Bruno Lage.

Wolves are looking at other candidates, but their number one managerial target is Martins, according to the report.

Earlier today, The Express & Star reported that the 52-year-old former Portugal international himself is keen on a move to Molineux Stadium.

Pedro Martins is without a managerial role at the moment following his departure from Olympiacos this summer

The 52-year-old won the Super League Greece in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Matins also led Olympiacos to Greek Football Cup success in 2020.

The Portuguese has managed Maritimo and Rio Ave among clubs in his career so far.

So far in his managerial career, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Martins has been in charge of 553 matches.

The Wolves managerial candidate has won 275 of them and has lost 152.
