Harry Redknapp has remarkably told Leeds that he would be interested in replacing Jesse Marsch at Elland Road.
What’s the story?
Well – according to the Mirror – Redknapp has expressed a desire to take over from the American in Yorkshire.
The 75-year-old has been unemployed since leaving Birmingham City back in 2017, and it would represent a major shock if he takes the reins at Leeds.
The Mirror believe Redknapp – who has overseen 236 wins in the Premier League during his time in management – is interested in taking over the Whites on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Neil Warnock, aged 74, was handed a similar deal by Huddersfield recently as he aims to keep the Terriers in the Championship.
Leeds have already been rejected by several coaches in their hunt to replace Marsch, trying – and failing – to hire the likes of Carlos Corberan, Andoni Iraola and Arne Slot.

The Whites have most recently released an official statement revealing that Michael Skubala will continue to take charge of the first-team on an interim basis while the search continues.
Skubala, who usually works as manager of the Under-21 side, oversaw an impressive display in the 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, before losing 2-0 to the same opponent on Sunday.
Leeds would be mad to hire Harry Redknapp
With all due respect, Leeds would be making a bizarre decision if they appointed Redknapp.
The Englishman has done some fantastic things in English football, such as helping Portsmouth avoid relegation in the 2005/06 campaign against all odds, before guiding them to the FA Cup.
However, Redknapp’s last role involved the sack at Birmingham City, and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that his managerial skills would be effective in the Premier League nowadays.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Leeds continue their search for Marsch’s replacement.
