Arne Slot has played down talk of him moving to Bayern Munich less than a year since confusion surrounded a deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham were linked with so, so many managers upon parting ways with Antonio Conte.

One of them was Arne Slot, who won the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord last season.

An up-and-coming, attack-minded manager who enjoyed deep European runs in successive seasons at Feyenoord, Slot made sense for Spurs.

Tottenham made moves to land Slot before settling on Ange Postecoglou, but the situation ended in ‘bad blood’ on both sides according to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.

Dorsett suggested that Tottenham felt they were being used to earn Slot a new contract at Feyenoord and weren’t impressed with him or his representatives as they announced they were staying in Rotterdam.

Feyenoord are 10 points off top spot this season but Slot continues to earn interest – possibly even from Bayern Munich.

Arne Slot on Bayern Munich

Bayern look set to lose the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, ending their lengthy dominance of German football.

Thomas Tuchel will be leaving the club at the end of the season and Bayern need to find a new boss.

Abendzeitung now claim that Bayern are interested in Slot as an alternative target to Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso.

Slot has now been quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying that it’s nice to be on Bayern’s radar and didn’t really play down a move whilst speaking to ESPN.

“I really can’t answer that, but it’s nice that I’m on a list!” said Slot.

There could now be a chance that we see Slot ends up at Bayern and coaching Harry Kane, the man who left Tottenham last summer.

It’s remarkable how football can change.

Less than a year ago, Slot was being eyed as the man to lead Tottenham into a new era with the club expecting Kane to leave.

Now, Slot may end up being the man to try and get Bayern back on track and attempt to get back to winning silverware with Kane up top.

That’s quite the turn of events and whilst Tottenham will be very happy with Postecoglou, Slot could finally be on the move.
