Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the 20-year-old this year.

Toulouse head coach Pascal Dupraz has suggested to RMC that Issa Diop won’t leave the club for less than £44 million.
It was reported by The Sun earlier this year that Tottenham and North London rivals Arsenal had watched the talented 20-year-old defender.
Diop, who netted twice in 30 Ligue 1 outings for the French side last season, looks set to stay in Toulouse unless an offer between £35 million and £44 million is lodged, Dupraz confirmed to RMC recently.

“I’m sure Diop will stay unless there is an offer we can’t refuse. Maybe some club will be willing to give €50m-€60m for him and then the president may think.”
If Spurs did ever hold an interest in the youngster then that should be the end of it for chairman Daniel Levy.

Tottenham do need another centre-back amid speculation about Kevin Wimmer and Eric Dier, but the Lilywhites chief would be mad to pay £44 million for one.
Even if he felt that he could tempt Toulouse into lowering their asking price, we are still talking crazy money for a lad who, frankly, remains wholly unproven.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino played with three centre-backs in the second half of last season but a more established name will be available for a lot cheaper than Diop would cost.
The France Under-21 international was valued at £15 million in April after The Mirror claimed that Chelsea were after him. That price represents value, and Tottenham should perhaps make a move if he was available at those figures, but anything more and they should walk away.
