Karl Robinson has told the Oxford Mail that he will make a move for Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn in the summer.
Liverpool have loaned Woodburn to Oxford United for the season, but the young attacker is yet to really have the impact in League One that many expected.
Woodburn has struggled with injury since leaving Liverpool, in what has been a difficult year for the youngster.
The 20-year-old has still caught the eye of Oxford boss Robinson though.
And the U’s boss has gone on record to suggest that he would like to bring in the Liverpool attacker again next term now.
“We’d love the opportunity for Ben Woodburn to be back and we want Nathan Holland back with us next year,” Robinson said.
“They’re conversations we’re having. We feel it would be right for their careers.

“They are both players who should have come and ripped it up.
“They did when they were fit, but unfortunately the injuries have probably knocked them back six months.
“If we went up we think both of them are Championship players anyway and if we didn’t then we’d have some of the best players in League One.”
Woodburn has made 13 appearances for Oxford in total, scoring once and claiming five assists.
There are still high hopes for Woodburn at Anfield, but Liverpool may be open to loaning him out again.
Jurgen Klopp once called Woodburn an ‘outstanding’ talent to Sky Sports, but he has slipped down the pecking order at Liverpool in recent years, and the Reds may feel that he needs regular game-time now.
