Celtic manager Neil Lennon has told The Daily Record that he wants to hold talks with Odsonne Edouard, amid reported interest from Leeds United among other clubs.

Leeds, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, are among the clubs interested in signing Edouard from Celtic in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that the West Yorkshire outfit – as well as Everton and Leicester City – watched the striker in action in the Scottish Premiership game between Dundee United and Celtic at Tannadice Park on August 22.

Celtic have been knockout out of the Champions League, and there will be doubts on the future of Edouard, and manager Lennon has said that the club plan to hold talks with the 22-year-old.

Lennon told The Daily Record about Edouard: “We want to talk to Odsonne and his representatives. We want to keep him here for as long as we can and as long as he wants to be here.”

Leeds United transfer this summer?

Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and there is no surprise that Leeds are reportedly interested in him.

Although the Whites have signed Rodrigo already this summer, Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be better with the Frenchman in it.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is ready to take the next step in his career and move to the Premier League, and with no Champions League football for the Hoops this season, he could be tempted into making a move to Leeds this summer.

However, Celtic will be determined to keep the youngster, as they are aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row this season.
