Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested to Sky Sports that reported Arsenal target Angel Gomes is likely to leave tomorrow.

Gomes is out of contract at United tomorrow, and Solskjaer has said that no new deal has been agreed yet.

The United boss has said that it looks like the 19-year-old attacking midfielder will not be at the club next month and beyond.

The Daily Mail reported in May that Arsenal want to sign the teenager on a free transfer this summer.

Solskjaer told Sky Sports about Gomes: “I’ve not heard from him last night or this morning so it seems like they haven’t managed to agree anything. The answer is probably short – yes.”

Arsenal transfer this summer?

Gomes is a very talented and promising young player who can be a star of the game in the coming years.

As reported by The Manchester Evening News earlier this month, the teenager has been nominated for the prestigious 2020 Golden Boy award, an accolade given to the best young player in Europe by Italian club Tuttosport.

Arsenal have hugely talented young players such as Bukayo Saka, and with head coach Mikel Arteta giving chances to youngsters, Gomes would fit in well at the Gunners.

The Gunners could do with dynamic young players such as Gomes who would be determined to make an impact.
