Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has confirmed that Ryan Edmondson will be signing a new contract with Leeds United in the Evening Express.
Edmondson has left Leeds to join Aberdeen on loan, as the striker seeks to gain more first-team chances.
The target-man has struggled for opportunities under Marcelo Bielsa, but he remains highly rated at Elland Road.
And McInnes has suggested that Edmondson could cause problems in Scotland when he improves on his fitness.
“Obviously Ryan is a bit behind, although probably further ahead of where Sam [Cosgrove] was when he first came in,” McInnes said.
“But Ryan does score goals at his own level.
“He is highly thought of at Leeds and will be signing a new contract there in the next few weeks.
“Ryan is young, he is raw at times, but he has potential and gives us something different.”

Edmondson was used as a substitute for Aberdeen in their last game against Rangers, but he failed to turn the tide of the match.
Aberdeen lost 1-0, as Steven Gerrard’s men managed to see out the game and claim the three points.
The Leeds loanee did actually impress during his time on the pitch though, with his physicality causing Rangers some problems.
Edmondson and Aberdeen will next be in action on Saturday, when they take on St. Johnstone.
