Reading manager Veljko Paunovic has said that he is not aware of reported interest from Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers or Arsenal in Michael Olise, as quoted in BerkshireLive.

The Reading Chronicle reported on October 14 interest in Olise from Premier League trio Arsenal, Leeds and Wolves.

It was claimed that the aforementioned three clubs want to secure the services of the 18-year-old before the summer transfer window in England closes today.

The report added that two of the clubs have had offers of more than £5 million for the teenager – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – turned down.

Reading manager Paunovic has said that he has not heard of any interest from Arsenal, Wolves or Leeds in Olise.

Paunovic told Berkshire Live when asked about reported interest in Olise: “It’s the first time I’ve heard about it so no comments.

“We’re working with him and everyone else to improve our team. Right now I have nothing to say about that.”

Important player for Reading

Olise has been at Reading since 2016 and has broken into the Royals’ first team.

According to WhoScored, the France Under-18 international has scored one goal and provided two assists in four Championship matches for Reading so far this season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the attacking player made 13 starts and six substitute appearances in the league for the Royals, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

With Olise developing into a very important player for Reading, it is hard to see the Championship club sell Olise today, although a massive bid could be very tempting.

Leeds, Wolves and Arsenal are big Premier League clubs, and move to the Whites, the Wanderers or the Gunners could be tempting for the teenager.
