Inter Milan head coach Antonio Conte has suggested that the club could sell Milan Skriniar amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted in The Express.

According to Corriere Dello Sport (print edition, page 9, September 26, 2020), Tottenham could make an offer for Skriniar today, while Football.London has claimed of interest in the 25-year-old central defender from Spurs.

The Express quotes Conte as saying: “Skriniar to Tottenham? He’s part of our project here at Inter. But I don’t know if an important bid will arrive in the coming days… it’s possible that the club will consider it because of the financial situation.”

Stats

According to WhoScored, Skriniar made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Inter last season, and he also played six minutes in the Europa League and played six times in the Champions League last season.

Back in 2018-19, the defender played 35 times in Serie A, thrice in the Europa League and six times in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.

Would Milan Skriniar make Tottenham Hotspur better?

Skriniar is a very good and established central defender and is one of the better players in his position in Serie A.

The 25-year-old would make Tottenham better at the back, and would provide Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld with stiff competition.

Tottenham need a strong and big squad to challenge for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
