Celtic manager Neil Lennon has refused to say whether or not he wants to sign Robert Snodgrass from West Ham United before the summer transfer window closes on Monday, as quoted in The Daily Record.

According to The Daily Record, Celtic have made a move to sign former Leeds United winger Snodgrass on loan from Premier League club West Ham.

The report has claimed that the deal will be finalised before the window closes tomorrow.

Lennon has responded to the speculation, and he has not given a direct answer.

The Daily Record quotes Lennon as saying when asked about Snodgrass: “You can throw names at me all you like, you’re not going to get a straight answer. I’m sure I’ll be with Peter tomorrow, and Nick Hammond, and we’ll see things.

“You saw the squad today, it’s strong, and with the Europa League we’ve got all that to look forward to as well. If we could just add one more that would be great.”

Good signing for Celtic?

Snodgrass is a very good winger, but the 33-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at West Ham.

The Scottish winger can still do a good job, and he would be a smart signing for the Hoops on a loan deal.

The Glasgow giants are aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row this season, and a player of Snodgrass’s calibre and experience would enhance their chances of doing just that.

According to WhoScored, Snodgrass scored five goals and provided five assists in 17 Premier League starts for West Ham last season.
