Rangers target Lewis Morgan has been praised by St Mirren boss Jack Ross.
St Mirren boss Jack Ross has told The Scotsman that he feels winger Lewis Morgan has added finishing to his game amid interest from Celtic and Rangers.
Morgan, 20, left the Rangers academy in 2013 in order to move on and play first-team football with St Mirren, and that move is paying off.
The winger not only hit ten goals in 46 games last season, but he has made a blistering start to this season, as he added two more goals in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Queen of the South.
Morgan’s latest two goals took his tally to eight goals in 12 games this season, and his performances in the second tier of Scottish football are attracting major interest.
The Daily Mail recently reported that Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers are both interested in signing Morgan, alongside the likes of Burton Albion, Cardiff City and Swansea City.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, St Mirren may face a huge decision in January, weighing up whether to sell him and potentially damage their promotion hopes, or risk losing him to a pre-contract agreement elsewhere.

Regardless, manager Jack Ross is hugely impressed with Morgan’s development, telling The Scotsman that he feels the winger has added goals to his game this season, as he is only two goals short of last season’s tally.
Ross added that Morgan is two footed, which is setting him apart from other exciting attacking players, with his comments summing up just why Celtic and Rangers are prepared to battle for his signature in 2018.
“It seems I speak about Lewis after every game but he has added finishing to his game and he is two-footed and that’s what sets him apart from other flair players,” said Ross.
