Arsenal are keen on the Bordeaux man, but Liverpool could also be in the race, according to the Brazilian’s manager.

Bordeaux boss Jocelyn Gourvennec spoke to reporters about the future of Brazilian winger Malcom, and surprisingly hinted that Liverpool could be a potential destination for him, as quoted by the Metro.
The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners prepared to pay up to £40 million for the pacey winger, according to the Telegraph.

Tottenham were also reportedly keen on Malcom, with the Independent claiming that Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the Bordeaux ace, although they are not willing to offer anything more than £31 million.
Liverpool have not been mentioned as potential suitors for Malcom in any of the reports as yet, but Gourvennec’s comments on the 20-year-old’s future has thrown the cat amongst the pigeons.
The Bordeaux manager told reporters how the Merseyside outfit are seemingly in for the winger, as quoted by the Metro:

“I can’t deny that he’s being followed by a lot of people. With Malcom, I go from day-to-day. He’s committed. He’s a bit, like he was in the summer…I wouldn’t say he has been disturbed by it, that’s a bit strong, he’s not disturbed, but he is asking questions. He’s asking himself what’s the best thing for him, for his future. That’s logical. If he’s asking questions and he still manages to make assists or score goals, it’ll be fine. If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go. I’m a coach, I’d like to be able to count on Malcom, Malcom has to help us.”
The Reds sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a staggering £145 million earlier this month, so a move for Malcom seems perfectly plausible on the surface.
The young star possesses undoubted talent, but whether he will end up being a replacement for his Brazilian counterpart remains to be seen, as Jürgen Klopp continues to scour the market for a talented wide-man.
