Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro has claimed that every club in the world would want to sign Victor Osimhen, who Tottenham are reportedly interested in according to the latest rumours

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Portuguese coach claimed that Osimhen’s ability to score goals and to adapt to new systems makes the 23-year-old an illustrious target for many big teams, with Tottenham the latest to be linked to the Nigerian international.

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti recently claimed that Tottenham view the Napoli star as the ideal replacement for Harry Kane should the England captain leave north London in the summer, with Osimhen believed to have an asking price of €100m (£84m).

With Real Madrid also interested in signing Osimhen according to Calciomercato, interest is mounting in the 23-year-old striker, who this season has bagged nine goals in all competitions as Napoli sit top of the Serie A table after winning their last ten games in a row.

Indeed, Osimhen could be set for a huge transfer next summer if the striker can stay fit for the entire campaign. And according to his national team coach, the attacker has the quality and the potential to play for any club side in the world.

Peseiro said: “He scores a lot and he is young. It is certainly not easy, usually a center forward finds this level later on. But he always scores goals, at this moment I don’t think I’m wrong if I say that every team in the world wants him. He knows how to press, he knows how to score, he knows how to use his body. He could play for any team.”

Osimhen has long been one of the best attackers in Serie A, yet for Tottenham, signing the striker will be quite the challenge given how many clubs are interested in signing the attacker as well as high how Napoli’s financial demands are for the forward.

Whilst Spurs could fund a move for Osimhen if Kane was to be sold, Daniel Levy’s transfer approach could shoot Tottenham in the foot if they were to pursue a deal for the Nigerian, who could be an outstanding signing for the north London side if they can win the race.
