Serie A boss Ivan Juric has distanced himself from reports suggesting he could replace Carlos Corberan at Championship promotion-chasers West Bromwich Albion.
Whenever a club on the verge of a takeover, rumours such as this tend to follow in it’s wake like pilot fish swimming along in the slipstream of a great whale. Just ask Newcastle United, linked with Neymar, Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe and more in the build up to Mike Ashley’s long-awaited departure from St James’ Park.
And, with The Athletic reporting that Shilen Patel’s purchase of West Brom is edging closer, speculation regarding a potential change not only in the Baggies boardroom but the dugout too is on the rise.
Tuttosport believe that West Brom are willing to offer Ivan Juric a £1.7 million-a-year deal at The Hawthorns, with the future of Carlos Corberan uncertain heading into a bold new era in the Midlands.

West Brom linked with Torino coach Ivan Juric
Juric, when quizzed on his future for the first time since those reports emerged, was careful not to give much away however, insisting that his focus will not deviate from the task at hand.
“There is only Taurus,” Juric tells Tuttomercatoweb, his Torino side tenth in Serie A and chasing a European spot.
“This work leads to happiness or disappointment. If you don’t bring pure happiness, then our work loses its charm. To bring happiness to Taurus, you have to go to Europe. If I can’t do it, then you lose the meaning of work.
“My work is very emotional. I want to see people happy. To be happy here, you have to go to Europe. That’s what the fans want”
Baggies takeover edging closer
Juric’s contract at the Granata is due to expire in June. It remains to be seen whether he will be offered a replacement, but Tuttosport believe Torino are already scouring the market for potential replacements.
Juric is renowned for an uber-aggressive, high-pressing style, with his up-and-at-em approach perhaps reminiscent of ex-Baggies boss Valerien Ismael in some aspects. Like Corberan, however, his teams don’t tend to score goals by the bucketload.
Torino have netted just 21 times in 24 league games this season, their place in the top-ten more the result of their impressive defensive record.
