Ralph Hasenhuttl has been speaking about Leeds and Everton Che Adams after the striker scored four goals in two appearances.
It was said that Jesse Marsch and Frank Lampard both wanted to sign the £25m forward before the September 1st deadline, and the Scotland international has added to the speculation by finding a hot streak of form.
Adams scored twice against Leicester last Saturday to help Southampton record a 2-1 win, before he scored two more goals in Tuesday’s 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Cambridge.
Now, Marsch and Lampard probably wish the 26-year-old didn’t score those four goals.
What’s the story?
Well, Hasenhuttl has now issued a firm hands-off warning to Leeds and Everton.
As quoted by the Daily Echo, the Austrian said: “I can categorically say he is our player and will not be sold this summer.”

Of course, anything could happen before the deadline, although Hasenhuttl sounded very certain when stating that Adams would be staying on the south coast.
Leeds & Everton already exploring alternatives
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton will now turn their attention to Blackburn forward Ben Brereton Diaz.
Lampard is a fan of the Chile international after he impressively scored 22 goals in 37 Championship appearances last season, and he could now be moving to Merseyside following Hasenhuttl’s comments.
While Romano hasn’t specifically stated that Leeds have ended their interest in the Southampton No.10 like he has with Everton, Marsch is now coincidentally eyeing a move for Wolves forward Hwang Hee-chan.
The American worked with the South Korean at RB Salzburg, so that story could have legs.
Clearly, Leeds and Everton didn’t place all of their hope in signing Adams, so keep an eye on the Premier League pair to see what business they do before the September 1st deadline – we believe they will both find a new striker.
