Newcastle United should attempt to sign the Napoli defender this summer.

According to Italian media outlet Calcio Napoli 24, Napoli centre back Raul Albiol is available for just £5.3 million this summer, and having managed him twice before, Rafa Benitez should consider bringing him to Newcastle this summer.
The Spaniard is after a centre-back, according to the Northern Echo, and the 32-year-old Napoli defender would be the ideal addition to the Magpies squad.

Albiol is incredibly experienced in playing at the very highest level for a sustained period of time, having spent spells with Valencia, Real Madrid and now Napoli.

He was also part of Spain’s World Cup and European Championship winning squads in 2008, 2010 and 2012. He earned 51 caps for his country – something that underlines his undoubted quality.
Benitez managed the 6ft 3in centre-back during his time in charge at Valencia and Real Madrid, so he will know all about the former Spain international’s quality.

Albiol is an accomplished central defender, and he possesses all of the attributes required to be a success in England, what with the robust nature of the Premier League.
He is strong in the air, and is not afraid to mix things physically with his opponents. An old school centre-back, Albiol would bring more rigidity to Newcastle’s back-line, and for just £5.3 million, he would surely prove to be a real steal for the Toon.
