The Manchester City striker would be a superb addition to the West Bromwich Albion squad this summer.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis has a lot of work to do at the Hawthorns this summer, as he looks to make a handful of quality signings that will help take the club forward.

West Brom fans are concerned that stagnation has crept into their side, and despite a relatively successful Premier League campaign last season, where they finished in 10th spot, a return of just one point from their final eight league games highlighted just how much work needs to be done.

Pulis has endured his fair share of criticism from the Baggies faithful of late, after failing to secure the signings of some of his primary transfer targets over the past couple of transfer windows, leaving his squad short of depth and quality in the process.

One particular area of the West Brom squad that needs addressing is their forward department, with Pulis’ side far too over-reliant on Salomon Rondon.

With this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider a move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.

The Ivorian has endured a torrid time since his move to the club in January 2015, and he will be desperate for a move away from the Etihad, as he looks to breathe fire back into his stuttering career.

The 28-year-old proved his credentials during his time at Swansea City, and would be fantastic addition for a so-called mid-tier club like West Brom.

Bony would form a formidable partnership with Rondon, and if Pulis wishes to explore the possibility of playing with two strikers though the middle, the pair could give the Baggies fans something to shout about next term.

The 51-capped Ivory Coast international’s game would compliment Rondon’s perfectly, what wIth the Venezuelan being renowned for making selfless runs into the channels, whilst Bony is more known for poaching in and around the penalty box.

The City man’s deal at the Etihad still has two years left to run, so West Brom will have to make a fairly substantial offer to tempt them into selling.

The time has come for Pulis to make a splash in the transfer market, however, and Bony could be a signing of tremendous significance, should the Baggies boss tempt the Ivorian into joining the club this summer.
