Manchester City have close to a clean bill of health when it comes to their injury list with Samir Nasri their only absentee, but they are without their latest recruit in Wilfried Bony, and star midfielder Yaya Toure who are both at the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast.

Vincent Kompany could also return to the starting line-up but it’s unclear whether Sergio Aguero will play from the start. The home side will be keen to get back to winning ways as their draw against Everton last time out allowed Chelsea to open up a two-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

Arsenal received a double injury blow this week with Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy out until April with ankle and shoulder injuries respectively but they will be going to the Etihad Stadium in relatively positive mood after they closed the gap to the Champions League places to one point.

The Gunners record on the road against sides that have finished in the top four of the Premier League last season isn’t the best, so a win for them here would certainly go against the grain.

One selection issue that will be fascinating from Arsene Wenger is whether he will stick with David Ospina who played in place of Wojciech Szczesny last time out against Stoke City.
