Bernardo Silva is reportedly keen to sign for PSG amid recent claims that Kylian Mbappe wants the Manchester City superstar at the club in the summer transfer window.
According to Le 10 Sport, the Portuguese international is eyeing a move back to France where Silva’s former AS Monaco teammate, Mbappe, wants the midfielder to join, with Silva expected to leave City at the end of the season amid ongoing transfer speculation.
Silva has been strongly linked with a move away from Manchester for the past two summers, yet the upcoming window feels like it will be the time the playmaker finally gets his move away from the Etihad Stadium, with PSG the current favourites to land the 28-year-old.
One of City’s best players in recent years and a playmaker who has been key to Pep Guardiola’s success in previous seasons, Silva has always seemed like a figure who could uproot and leave the Etihad Stadium at any point. And now, that time seems to be coming this summer.
Indeed, whilst FC Barcelona have often been linked with Silva, PSG now look the likeliest to sign the Portuguese superstar given Mbappe’s recent demands and sporting director Luis Campos backing such a transfer, with the Parisian chief also a former Monaco employee.
With Mbappe an advocate for Silva to join and the midfielder now convinced on a move, there’s a good chance that City could now grant a transfer in the summer if PSG come in with a suitable offer, something that will more than likely happen given the club’s immense wealth.

PSG’s new approach under Campos is yet to bear real fruit given how short the project’s lifespan has currently been. Yet with players like Silva being recommended by Mbappe, a potential transfer could be a masterstroke for the French giants.
With success in the UEFA Champions League the ultimate end-goal for PSG, signing names such as Silva who have chemistry with Mbappe are the ideal strategy to have in formulating a European-winning team, with the City star himself now keen on a move in the summer transfer window.
