Manchester City insiders are reportedly worried that Erling Haaland could soon leave the club to join Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants interested in signing the Norwegian international.
According to AS, figures within the Etihad Stadium are concerned that the 22-year-old record-breaker could soon have his head turned to leave City for Madrid, with Haaland Los Blancos’ main transfer target for 2024 to replace Karim Benzema as their leading striker.
Haaland has been linked with a move to Madrid since his Borussia Dortmund days, and after missing out on the attacker last summer, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have now earmarked the summer of 2024 as the window when the Spanish side will finally land their man.
With Benzema expected to be in the twilight of his career at in the next 12 months, Haaland is being viewed as the perfect replacement for the French superstar, and City now fear that their star man could leave the club to take up this role in the Spanish capital.

Indeed, many expect Haaland to use City as a stepping stone for another huge move in the years to come, with Madrid now looking more and more likely to be the next club the Scandinavian goalscoring machine signs for, and this latest update seems to add more fuel to the fire.
Haaland signing for Madrid has always felt like a potential outcome in the striker’s career, and with City now fearing that the forward could leave Manchester, a move could be on the horizon sooner than expected.
Haaland will leave City for Madrid at some point in the future

With 42 goals this season already in all competitions, Haaland has made a mockery of English football, and the next logical step for the attacker in the years to come will be to take his record-breaking antics to Spain, where Madrid are the perfect club for the striker.
As we know, Madrid pride themselves on having the best players in football, and with Haaland set to break every goalscoring record known to mankind, Los Blancos feels like the only place the forward will leave City for in the years to come.
