Mac Allister’s valuation has sky-rocketed this season having played a key role in Argentina’s success in Qatar as well as continuing to shine for Brighton in the Premier League, with the midfielder now wanted by numerous English sides heading into the summer market.
The Daily Star recently reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Mac Allister, with Liverpool also being linked with the South American talent. Yet Guardiola now being in talks with the Brighton star could give City a huge boost in their pursuit for the Argentine.
Indeed, Mac Allister ticks a lot of boxes for what Guardiola likes in a central midfielder, and with the Seagulls man able to play in the attack, as well, the 24-year-old could be the perfect summer signing for City amid rumours that Ilkay Gundogan could leave the club.
City signing Mac Allister could be a masterstroke from Guardiola

Mac Allister’s 2022/23 season has been nothing short of explosive, with the midfielder playing a starring role for Argentina at the World Cup as well as establishing himself as one of Roberto De Zerbi’s key players in Brighton’s push for a European finish. And City signing the talisman could be sensational.
With Gundogan currently tipped to leave City and Kevin De Bruyne needing a replacement for the years to come, Mac Allister is perfect for City and to play in Guardiola’s system, with the midfielder good enough to grow at the club and to take his career to the next level in Manchester.
