CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has reported that there was a split of opinion within the Man City camp over the sale of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea-linked star Pedro Porro.
While Porro has been hailed as one of the most exciting right-backs in Europe, he found it impossible to break into the City first-team due to the presences of Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo, and was eventually shipped off to Sporting CP in 2021.
However, the former Man City right-back now seems to have created a tug-of-war for his services between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has even claimed that Porro is on ‘top’ of the transfer wish list of Tottenham.
However, Ben Jacobs did tell Last Word on Spurs that a hijack from Chelsea for the Spaniard’s signature is ‘very possible.’
The fact that two of the ‘Big Six’ seem so desperate to sign Pedro Porro just shows how much talent he possesses at 23 years of age.
While some have questioned whether City would regret selling him, a fresh update has hinted at how that was a fear within the club itself.

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has said that the Man City camp was split in the middle over the sale of Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea-linked defender Pedro Porro.
“I also understand, by the way, when Sporting first brought him from Manchester City a couple of years back, there was a real split within the Manchester City recruitment department about whether they could sanction a permanent sale, what was only £8.5 million last summer”, Jacobs told Last Word on Spurs.
Considering the grass is usually never greener than that at Man City as recent evidence proves, the fact that the club were indecisive over selling Pedro Porro proves Tottenham or Chelsea could get their hands on one hell of a player.
