Delph thinks Man City and England teammate Sterling is currently one of the best players in the world but also believes there is much more to come.

Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph has boldly claimed that teammate Raheem Sterling is ‘operating at about 80 percent’ and is confident that he will hit even headier heights in the coming years (The Mirror).
Sterling has enjoyed a superb season for the Etihad Stadium side, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in 34 Premier League appearances as City retained their title amid an incredibly strong challenge from Liverpool.
The 24-year-old also scored five Champions League goals and registered three assists, plus three goals and two assists in the FA Cup (Transfermarkt), and his exploits saw him pick up the Football Writers’ Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year awards (The Mirror).
Pep Guardiola’s side clinched a domestic treble of the Premier League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season just gone, and Delph is confident that there is much more to come from fellow England international Sterling, having witnessed his development at Man City over the years.

“People always questioned what type of player he would be and whether he would go to the next level, but I was like, ‘This kid has everything, once he finds his path and what works for him, you’re going to see something incredible’,” Delph told The Mirror.
“I believe he’s operating at about 80 percent, so if he can push himself a little more – which he will because his mindset is very good – in the next couple of years the sky’s the limit. I’m speaking from knowing Raheem since he was 19 and seeing his progression. Right now, he’s one of the best players in the world.”
Given just how impressive Sterling has been this season and how he has developed and progressed over the last few years, Delph’s comments about him not yet being at 100 percent will be music to the ears of Man City fans, while his opponents for club and country will surely dread the prospect of an even more dangerous Sterling threatening to make a mockery of their defence and team.
