You’d have to have been living on the moon yesterday to miss Leeds United’s controversial badge change and West Ham United feel their pain.

West Ham fans know exactly how Leeds supporters are feeling this morning, even if the Elland Road club’s blushes are a touch more crimson.
Leeds unveiled a new crest on Wednesday that has gone down like a lead balloon with the club’s supporters and resulted in them being mocked by rival fans, as reported by the likes of the Independent.
The Elland Road club revealed the new badge – which features a cartoon man doing the ‘Leeds salute’ – to a universally negative reaction.
Leeds say the crest comes after six months of research conducted in consultation with 10,000 people but have since admitted they may need to revisit the design after it sparked uproar.
Leeds MD Angus Kinnear, formerly of West Ham and Arsenal
Well it appears the man at the heart of the controversy, Angus Kinnear, has previous with the Hammers.
Kinnear joined Leeds from West Ham last May where he had presided over the club’s controversial move from Upton Park to the London Stadium which also involved a crest change which did not go down well with fans.
The cartoon style of the Hammers badge, the exclusion of the famous West Ham castle and the somewhat cynical marketing-led addition of the word London in the crest also caused uproar.

West Ham fans have been campaigning for a change to the badge ever since the change back in 2016.
Kinnear was appointed by West Ham having previously been at Arsenal.
It looks as though Leeds fans may get their wish to get the crest changed, West Ham fans can only hope their owners will follow suit.
