Everton have been strongly linked with the Spanish forward and his current coach accepts he could move on.
Malaga coach Michel has been speaking to Spanish website Diario Sur about the future of Everton target Sandro Ramirez.
As reported by ESPN, Everton manager Ronald Koeman sat with the player’s agent to watch him in action last weekend, and considering his release clause is just £5million his signing would represent outstanding business if the Toffees can win the race for his signature.
That remains to be seen, but Michel has admitted that the player’s future may well be away from his current club.
“Sandro is in demand,” he told Diario Sur. “We cannot keep him if he doesn’t want to continue.
“We can’t do anything more than all the efforts we have made, and all we have to do is wait for his decision.”
Sandro has scored 16 goals in 29 matches for Malaga this season, so it is no surprise Everton are among the clubs said to be interested.
If the 21-year-old does move on for around £5million this summer, it could go down as one of the bargains of this or any summer and Koeman would be applauded for bringing a readymade goal-scorer for what equates to pennies in today’s transfer market.
Only time will tell if Everton get their man, but based on Michel’s comments it seems he is not too confident of having him for another year.
