Paul Scholes has criticised Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, saying that Aaron Ramsdale is better.
The Manchester United legend and TNT Sports pundit does not think that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should be playing David Raya ahead of Aaron Ramsdale.
Raya joined Arsenal from Brentford in the summer transfer window.
The Spain international initially started the season as the number two goalkeeper for Arsenal.

Ramsdale was the number one goalkeeper for the Gunners at the time.
However, Arteta has made Raya his number one goalkeeper and has publicly praised the Spaniard despite his mistakes.
Paul Scholes on Arsenal goalkeepers David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale
Scholes told TNT Sports: “I think the goalkeeping situation has brought question marks, when I don’t think there was any need for it. I think [Aaron] Ramsdale’s done very well.
“OK, he’s probably not as good with his feet, but Ramsdale’s still very capable with his feet and this keeper [David Raya] has come in and he’s making mistakes every single week.”
My View: Aaron Ramsdale could be back in Arsenal team
I believe that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could be forced to bring Aaron Ramsdale back into the fold.
While David Raya is a capable goalkeeper and is very good with his feet, he does not look very calm and assured at the back.
And that does affect the defenders in front of him.
Yes, Ramsdale is not perfect and can make mistakes, but he is a better shot-stopper than Raya.
Moreover, Ramsdale has more experience than Raya playing for a club as big and ambitious as Arsenal.
I think that if Raya continues to make mistakes and costs Arsenal points in the coming weeks, then Ramsdale could return to the starting lineup.
Arteta will surely not be that stubborn to keep persevering with Raya and putting Arsenal’s Premier League title at risk.
