
West Ham United fans aren’t a happy bunch this morning because one of their reported January targets, Joshua King, ended up at Everton on transfer deadline day.
At the start of the window, West Ham parted ways with their big-money transfer, Sebastien Haller, which left Michail Antonio as their only hitman up top.
It was obvious that another face was needed in the forward lines, but it seems as though Everton will be enjoying the services of the players the West Ham fans, and seemingly David Moyes, wanted
As reported by Sky Sports, the Hammers had a £13 million bid rejected by Bournemouth for King’s talents in October and now he has moved to Goodison Park for a ‘nominal fee’ and on a six-month contract.
On deadline day, it wasn’t West Ham scrapping those on Merseyside for King’s signature, but it was one of their neighbours in Fulham.
It’s no surprise that the West Ham supporters are frustrated because they feel King should have been heading their way, and at the very least, they should have fought for him.
Everton parted ways with back-up striker Cenk Tosun this month and replaced him with King, yet those in the East London boardroom couldn’t seemingly do the same on their own side.

It’s now a case of crossing those fingers and hoping Antonio remains fit until the end of the campaign because if he doesn’t then the reaction will be pretty severe.
