Hugo Lloris has told Sky Sports that he is missing Michel Vorm ‘a lot’ following his departure from Tottenham this summer.

Tottenham’s number one shot-stopper shared how Vorm ‘makes things easier’ in the changing room and is a ‘leader’ within the squad.

Vorm was brought back by Tottenham last season when Lloris got injured against Brighton, but he only penned a short-term contract and left North London once again this summer after making once appearance last term.

But Lloris admitted that he is missing the Dutchman’s presence in and around the club, as he shared what he was like.

“I miss a lot Michel,” Lloris told Sky Sports. “He’s a great guy. A great teammate. And a great professional. He spent more than five years at the club.

“When you are in the changing room and there are people around, Michel makes things easier for the team. Always pushing myself in training. Always ready to help the manager when the manager needs it.

“Then always positive. Always a few words to the teammates and to the younger players from the academy. He’s a leader and he’s good to have people like him in the changing room.

He then laughs and says down the camera: “Michel, I miss you.”

When Lloris suffered a shoulder injury at the start of last season at Brighton, he was producing a number of mistake-ridden performances – his mistake actually played a part in him getting injured for that game.

But since donning the number one gloves once more, he has looked calmer and assured in between the sticks.

That will be needed for a Spurs team that has had to battle through a fixture storm of late and it continues with their clash against Manchester United on Sunday.
