Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Matt Polster is on the verge of leaving the Ibrox club.

Rangers will sell Polster to Major League Soccer club New England Revolution for £400,000, according to The Daily Record.

It has been reported that the 27-year-old, who can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, is keen on playing regular first-team football to enhance his international football career and will leave imminently.

Signed in January 2019 after a successful trial, the USA international could make only 10 appearances for the Gers’ first team, as reported in The Daily Record.

The former Chicago Fire star failed to challenge James Tavernier for the right-back spot in the team and became essentially a squad player.

Polster is unlikely to establish himself in the Rangers first team next season, and a move away from Ibrox does make sense for him.

The Gers will also get a decent transfer fee for a fringe player, and it is indeed a win-win situation for everyone.

Some Rangers fans have given their take on Polster reportedly being set to leave.
