Tottenham fans are not having any of Guillem Balague’s claim after he reported that Harry Winks is ‘not wanted’ by Jose Mourinho.
The Spanish journalist shared on his personal Twitter account that La Liga side Valencia have made a ‘second offer’ for Winks as they bid to sign the Tottenham academy product.
Spurs fans made it clear that Winks has started recent games for the club, so they cannot see any reason as to why Mourinho isn’t a fan of him.
Whilst Winks has found game time tough this season, his minutes are beginning to increase and he is, once again, starting to become a regular in this side.
It also needs to be remembered that Spurs have been pretty strong during this campaign and have perhaps surprised many with their title challenge.
Two of Tottenham’s best players, outside of the most-talked-about two in Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, have been Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
So, that in itself has made life tougher for Winks, but it seems as though he is now starting to push ahead of a few faces.
It also needs to be remembered that there is only serious talk about Winks’ future because of the delayed Euros coming up and the Englishman wanting to be a part of Gareth Southgate’s squad.
