Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after they saw a ‘lovely’ photo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The image in question shows the Gabon international proudly holding a gift from the France international after his landmark accomplishment.
Lacazette gifted Aubameyang with a trophy to mark his 300th goal in senior football – a fine achievement, to say the very least.
The 31-year-old’s feat is all the more impressive seeing as he’s spent a large chunk of his career playing out wide.
Transfermarkt shows that Aubameyang has made 72 appearances on the left wing throughout his career, and 113 on the right.
It would’ve been heartwarming to see the club hand the former Borussia Dortmund striker this gift.

However, it’s somewhat nicer to see it come from a teammate – Lacazette deserves credit for doing this on his own accord, purely to recognise his friend’s achievement.
Hopefully, this will put a smile back on Aubameyang’s face, after he was surely left disappointed having been dropped for the north London derby.

It was a fantastic gesture, and one that seems to have gone down very well with the Arsenal fans on Twitter.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying about the photos of the pair holding the trophy…
