Some Leeds fans on social media have been reacting after Mikel Arteta confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would once again be unavailable for selection this weekend.

What’s the story with Aubameyang?

In case you’re unaware, Aubameyang isn’t unavailable due to any sort of injury or suspension.

Indeed, this is an instance of a player being frozen out of the Arsenal squad after a so-called disciplinary breach.

The Gabonese forward has missed the Gunners’ last two games and he’s also been stripped of the captaincy for this latest infringement.

As you can imagine, the fact that a former Golden Boot winner will be missing for this game has sparked something of a reaction from Leeds fans.

To be so lucky

Interestingly, some Leeds fans weren’t happy to hear about Aubameyang’s absence.

Instead, there was something of a bitter feeling amongst the fanbase as supporters compared Arsenal’s situation to their own.

Leeds are down to the bare bones after injuries ravaged their squad, and meanwhile, Arsenal are purposefully leaving out one of their most notable players.

One United supporter pointed out the inequality in the Premier League between the top clubs and everyone else, while others jokingly asked if Aubameyang could play for Leeds as the Whites continue to struggle with an injury crisis.
