Rangers are probably going to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.
Steven Gerrard’s side have an enormous 23-point lead over second-placed Celtic and barring a huge miracle, the title is going back to Ibrox.
But nobody at Rangers is resting on their laurels it seems.
We know this because earlier today, the Gers announced that they had signed Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson.
The 24-year-old won’t be heading to Glasgow until this summer, meaning that Gerrard and director of football Ross Wilson clearly already have one eye on next season.
Simpson has only had a bit-part role with the Championship side this season, starting six league games.
But here’s how some Cherries fans reacted on Twitter to the fact he’s joining Rangers in five months:
As good as Nikola Katic has been for the light Blues, his injury problems are a big concern and Gerrard is right to be looking at a central defender, especially with Filip Helander also struggling for fitness a lot of the time.
