Clinton Morrison has praised Arsenal defensive midfielder Thomas Partey on BBC Sport for his role in Ghana’s third goal against South Korea at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The former Crystal Palace forward has noted that Arsenal star Partey’s pass from midfield is what eventually led to Ghana scoring their third goal of the match against South Korea in the second half on Monday.
It was Mohammed Kudus who curled the ball home after Inaki Williams missed his attempt.
Morrison was following the match for BBC Sport, and he has noted how Partey played his role in the goal.
Praise for Arsenal and Ghana star Thomas Partey
The pundit said: “I told you there would be another goal. The build-up play from Ghana is brilliant and it starts with Thomas Partey with a brilliant bit of play in the middle of the pitch. It is a simple pass but he makes it look easy.”

Important player
In our view, Thomas Partey is one of the most important players for Arsenal and for Ghana.
The former Atletico Madrid star has got over his injury problems and is playing as well as ever.
Partey is not exactly the most exciting of players, but he does his job perfectly in the middle of the park and is simply a superb player.
For Ghana and Arsenal to be successful at the World Cup and in the Premier League respectively, in our view, Partey will have to be on top of his game and maintain his current high standards.
