A claim has been made that one major obstacle for Tottenham Hotspur in their attempts to appoint a new manager is the uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane.
Not a single soul is aware about the England captain’s future, as while some have tipped him to stay put, the majority believe he is destined for a move to Manchester United.
However, whether Harry Kane stays or leaves Tottenham Hotspur is affecting the club in their hopes to bring in a new manager before the start of next season.
Harry Kane future is holding Tottenham back in new manager search
Understandably so, considering just how key the 29-year-old is and has been to Spurs’ fortunes ever since breaking through to the first-team.
Kane remains his boyhood club’s best player and for any new coach coming in to fix the mess in the white half of N17, to contend with the loss of a figure such as him would only add to their list of challenges.
Journalist Dean Jones has now highlighted how Harry Kane is affecting Tottenham in their new manager search.

“Now listen, a big problem in recruiting a new coach is convincing them that Harry Kane is going to be there or telling them that he’s not and they’ll have X amount to spend on a new striker, that is a major problem”, he said on the Ranks FC Podcast.
HITC View: Huge dilemma for Daniel Levy
While many would suggest Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sell Harry Kane to kickstart a squad overhaul, this may put any manager off from actually taking the job.
If Kane does end up staying and declines to extend his contract, that also means Spurs will have to lose one of the best players in the world on a free transfer in 2024.
Furthermore, the player could be willing to leave the club, which would create a toxic environment for the incoming coach in the dressing room due to his sheer importance to the side.
Decisions, decisions.
