West Ham United signed plenty of flops this summer and one of them has been told to plead with his old club to end his English nightmare.

West Ham United are enduring a torrid season on and off the pitch and sit just one point and one place above the relegation zone after a woeful record of seven defeats from their opening 12 games this season.

The latest came at White Hart Lane on Saturday as they threw away a 2-1 lead with just minutes left to lose 3-2 to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Fans are angry with the club’s owners David Sullivan and David Gold after a terrible summer of transfer activity.

Slaven Bilic’s squad was filled with players who are simply not good enough for the Premier League let alone to take the club on a level after their big move to the 60,000 seater Olympic Stadium.

Gokhan Tore, who has been held up by Hammers fans as a prime example of West Ham’s awful summer of cheap transfer business, has been totally out of his depth since signing on an expensive loan with a view to buy from Bilic’s former club Besiktas.

He’s not alone either with Simone Zaza, Havard Nordtveit and Sofiane Feghouli also major flops.

Hammers fans were hoping the club would be able to cancel Tore’s season-long loan to send him back to his homeland and free up wages for a January signing.

But Tore – who was released by Chelsea as a youngster – has been told by Besiktas president Fikret Orman he must beg if he is to be allowed to return prematurely and end his English nightmare, as reported by Turkish Football.

“If Tore wants to return he will have to plead to the club just like Ricardo Quaresma did,” Orman told Turkish Football.

“We only want players that want to be here.

“We won’t stand for players wanting to come for the time being and then change their mind later. If he wants to return home he has to say so.”

The most worrying thing for West Ham fans about the Tore deal was the fact Bilic was keen to sign the winger permanently for around £13 million in the summer.

The manager could not convince the club’s board and instead they signed him with a hefty £2.5m loan fee with a view to a permanent move, something that will certainly not materialise.
