If Arsene Wenger manages to secure these three talented internationals he could answer his critics with domestic and European success.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a trio of players over the last few days that if they were to come off, could turn the Gunners into significant challengers in what is sure to be a competitive Premier League next season.
Arsene Wenger is said to be interested in bringing in talented Valencia centre back Shkodran Mustafi, Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez and Lyon goal machine Alexandre Lacazette, according to Sky Sports.

It is a possible triple deal that could help Wenger answer his critics in the most exciting way possible.
There have been many Arsenal fans who have criticised the Frenchman over the last few years for failing to spend the money rumoured to be in the the club’s kitty.
Even though Wenger has made choice signings in two of the last three summers, first signing Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid in 2013, and then recruiting Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona the year after, the Arsenal boss has stopped short from making large improvements to the squad, preferring to tweak it instead.

But the three players linked above would address two long-standing problem positions in the first eleven and squad, central defence and up front, while the addition of Mahrez can only improve the side considering he is the reigning player of the year in the Premier League and is such a livewire talent.
Wenger has always maintained that he is willing to spend big if the right players are available.
With Granit Xhaka already arriving earlier in the summer, the Gunners would have had their busiest and most expensive summer ever, and it would be hard to argue with the quality of players brought in.

Of course, if these proposed transfers come off, supporters may well feel the Londoners are favourites for the Premier League next season, and can also have another proper crack at the Champions League. But on the flip side of that, if Wenger were to fail to bring about a genuine title challenge at the very least after such investment, it may finally be time that he considers stepping aside for another manager to come in with a new approach.
