Tim Sherwood has said on The Weekend Preview show that Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko are the two best players in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager made the comments about Jesus and Zinchenko while looking ahead to the Premier League game between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Sunday.
Arsenal signed Brazil international striker Jesus from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners paid £45 million for Jesus (Sky Sports).
Zinchenko, who can operate as a midfielder or as a left-back, also switched to Arsenal from City in the summer of 2022.
The North London club paid £30 million up front with £2 million in add-ons for the Ukraine international (Sky Sports).

Sherwood said: “The two best players Arsenal have are the two players City let go. Zinchenko and Jesus have been magnificent.”
Making an impact
In our view, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have made an immediate impact at Arsenal.
While Jesus is banging in the goals for the Gunners, Zinchenko has done well at left-back.
The Ukraine international has made five appearances in the Premier League and has played 21 minutes in the UEFA Europa League for Arsenal so far this season.
Jesus has scored five goals and provided three assists in eight Premier League games and has given one assist in two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for the Gunners so far this campaign.
