The Tottenham Hotspur prospect produced a fine display against Bournemouth.
Reo Griffiths received the majority of the plaudits following Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 victory away to Bournemouth in the FA Youth Cup last night, but midfielder Paris Maghoma also deserves much praise for his display.
Griffiths hit a brace and substitute Rayan Clarke was also on the scoresheet for Tottenham, who secured their place in the fifth round of the prestigious competition with an impressive display.
Maghoma was very much at the heart of proceedings, with the midfielder retaining possession extremely effectively, while he frequently pushed forwards as he looked to find the net.
Although he was unable to score himself, Maghoma caused many problems for the Bournemouth defence and his display will surely have pleased the Tottenham coaching staff.
Aged just 16, Maghoma isn’t likely to be involved in the Tottenham first-team setup in the near future but if he continues to develop at his current rate then he will surely be given the opportunity to make the breakthrough in due course.
This season Maghoma, who has been called up to represent England at youth level, has featured regularly for Tottenham U18s, while he has also been involved in the UEFA Youth League and was on the bench in the EFL Trophy.
