Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing the future of Brazilian wonderkid, Endrick.
The 16-year-old has been making waves over in Brazil for the past 12 months – which is crazy to say about a 16-year-old, and, understandably, he’s being tracked by some of Europe’s top clubs.
According to Jorge Nicola, Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle are keen, but Bailey is led to believe that Real Madrid think they have this deal sewn up already.

Madrid think it’s done
Bailey shared what he knows about Endrick
“I’ve been talking about Endrick for quite a while now and he’s only 16. He is the next sensation, this guy is special. After Neymar, Florentino Perez vowed to never miss out on the best young player in Brazil again. They’ve had Vini Jr, Rodrygo and Reinier, but this is the guy they think is really special. This is their Wayne Rooney, he’s more highly rated than Neymar was at this time,” Bailey said.
“He can’t join a European team until 2024, but he can sign something before. His father has said they are having one more trip to Madrid, they’ve been around Europe.
“Every club is confident here, my belief is that Madrid basically think this is already a done deal, we’ll have to see how it plays out and it’s never that easy, but there is a clearer pathway to the first-team at Real Madrid with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.”
Makes sense
There feels like an air of inevitability around Endrick eventually joining Real Madrid.
The Santiago Bernabeu has become the home for budding Brazilian talents in recent years, and with like likes of Rodygo and Vinicius Jr already at the club, Endrick signing in a similar deal wouldn’t be a shock.
This young attacker looks to be headed straight to the top of the game, and playing for Los Blancos truly is the pinnacle of this sport.
Unfortunately for Spurs and Newcastle, this deal looks to be out of their reach already.
