We’re now at the midway point of the Premier League season, and a lot of strange things have happened in what has been an exciting 2021/21 campaign so far.

At this stage, however, nobody has done anything more bizarre than Raul Jimenez – in fact, he’s our winner of the most ridiculous moment of the season at this point in time.

What happened with Raul Jimenez?

Well, it was one of the stupidest things you could see on a football pitch.

Having already been shown a yellow card by Jon Moss for a trip on Rodri – which in fairness was a harsh one – Jimenez simply didn’t think straight.

The Mexico international continued to loiter around the scene of the crime, preventing the Citizens from taking their freekick, and Moss lost patience.

Within the space of seconds, Jimenez had gone from not being in the referee’s book at all, to not even being on the pitch.

Ultimately, it cost Wolves the chance of gaining a decent result, as Bruno Lage’s side only lost 1-0 to the Premier League champions despite having ten men.

Raul Jimenez must learn from it

It’s not a mistake if you learn from it, and that’s exactly what Jimenez needs to do.

We have no idea what the 30-year-old was thinking, and he cannot afford to let his teammates down like that again.

If he does, we’re sure the likes of Conor Coady will give him a telling off in the dressing rooms, and it would be a deserved one in truth.

As this stage of the campaign, this bizarre 46th minute moment in Manchester is our most ridiculous incident of the season so far.
