Celtic dropped points once again on Saturday with a depleted side as 13 players continued to self-isolate

Chris Sutton has called Celtic’s decision to take Christopher Jullien with them to Dubai “madness”.
The French defender was ruled out for three to four months through injury prior to the club departing for their controversial warm weather training camp, and shortly after arriving back in Glasgow the club confirmed that he had tested positive for Covid-19.
That left 13 players having to self-isolate, as well as manager Neil Lennon and his assistant John Kennedy.
As a result, coach Gavin Strachan was in the dugout for the club’s last two matches and he watched as a depleted side served up two consecutive draws.
The injury-time equaliser conceded to Hibs on Monday night at Celtic Park was followed by Saturday’s uninspiring 0-0 draw against Livingston at the same venue, with the sides due to meet again at the Tony Macaroni Arena on Wednesday night.
Parkhead legend Sutton was unimpressed with the decision to take Jullien to the UAE, and believes the title is now beyond Celtic’s grasp.
Celtic fan Kurt called up BBC 5 Live Sport to suggest that the Scottish Government should have stopped the club travelling to Dubai, to which Sutton responded: “I’m not saying it’s right, but I take your point on the Scottish Government, in the fact that Celtic were allowed to go, and whether you think it’s right or wrong, it was madness taking Christopher Jullien over there.
“You’ve made that point and made it well, hence why Celtic came out and said that they’d made a mess of it.
“It’s what’s going to happen now. The league is gone. Absolutely gone.”
The goalless draw against Livingston left Lennon’s men 20 points behind Rangers in the title race, albeit with two games in hand.
