The former Ibrox favourite clearly holds his years in Glasgow dear.
Former Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra announced this week that he is hanging up his boots after a 15-year professional career, and as quoted by the Scottish Sun, he sent a fond farewell message to Rangers supporters.
Bougherra spent three years with the Gers between 2008 and 2011, winning three consecutive Scottish Premier League titles.
He was part of the team which twice reached the group stage of the Champions League, in his final season progressing to the last-16 of the Europa League after a third-placed group finish.

Though he was sometimes controversial – rather fittingly being sent off on his final appearances for the Gers – he was largely a well-liked figure at Ibrox for his tough style of defending.
He left the club in 2011 to move to Qatar, and after a nomadic final period of his career, also playing in the UAE and Greece, he has now decided to call it a day.
As quoted by the Scottish Sun, his retirement message contained a special nod to his time in Scotland, and the supporters who used to cheer him on.

Bougherra wrote: “I’ve had a career that was beyond my wildest dreams. My passion for football is as strong as ever, but sometimes you have to listen to your body and face realities.
“I have no regrets. I’ve had a wonderful career. I have played in the World Cup with Algeria and for Rangers in front of their fans.
“My memories are imperishable, notably with the supporters of Glasgow Rangers and the national team of Algeria.”
