Madger Gomes is back in Yorkshire just a year after Leeds United sold him.
The Spanish midfielder has signed a two-year deal at Doncaster Rovers, who will be his third club since leaving Leeds.
Gomes initially joined the French side, FC Sochaux, on a permanent basis, before being loaned to and NK Istra in Croatia.
But he only played 10 times for Sochaux and once for Istra, and departs Montbéliard a year before his contract was due to expire.
Gomes had featured even less often for Leeds – for whom both of his appearances arrived in the EFL Cup.
And while the 22-year-old will hope to fare better in Doncaster, his plans may be disrupted by the potential departure of Grant McCann, the Rovers manager, to Leeds’ Championship rivals, Hull City.
According to The Hull Daily Mail, the Tigers are confident of naming the Northern Irishman as Nigel Adkins’ successor.
