Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Paul Joyce of The Times confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita had returned to training.

Alexander-Arnold has been missing since the 1-1 draw against Manchester City at the beginning of November, while Keita limped off during the 3-0 win over Leicester.

Now, however, the Liverpool duo are back on the training field.

That will be music to Jurgen Klopp’s ears, as he has been without a whole host of first-team players recently.

Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are long-term absentees.

Aside from them, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has also seen the likes of James Milner, Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson Becker, Thiago Alcantara and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffer injuries.

Impressively, that hasn’t stopped the Premier League champions from picking up decent results.

Before the recent 2-0 defeat to Atalanta, Liverpool were on an eight-game unbeaten run, which included six wins and two draws.

Klopp’s men have managed to progress into the Champions League knockout phases, and also sit level on points with Tottenham at the top of the Premier League.

Despite that, the German will still be delighted to have Alexander-Arnold and Keita back.

Let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to Joyce’s update…
