Speaking on talkSPORT’s GameDay Podcast, journalist Alex Crook has been speaking about Leeds vs Chelsea and Raphinha’s actions as a mini-brawl erupted after the game.

It still isn’t 100 per cent clear why Antonio Rudiger felt he had to confront the Leeds players after the final whistle, but tempers flared and everyone was ready to get involved.

Well, almost everyone.

Indeed, while the likes of Rudiger, Adam Forshaw, Tyler Roberts and Joe Gelhardt were slap-bang in the middle of the commotion, Raphinha was having none of it, with Crook claiming that the winger made a quick escape and casually strolled down the touchline while everyone else was getting worked up.

What’s been said about Raphinha?

Crook noted what the Brazilian did during the skirmish.

“What made me laugh about that. It was kind of a throwback to the 60s and 70s, and I think it was Raphinha, he exited the scene very quickly. He was just casually strolling down the touchline while all of the other players were scrapping by the corner flag!” Crook said.

Mature

We don’t know why Leeds and Chelsea players felt the need to have a bit of handbags after the game, but Raphinha was seemingly above it all.

To be honest, it’s probably the most mature thing to do.

We see this so often in football. Players shove each other around a bit and try to impose each other in order to save face, but nothing ever comes of these arguments and it’s all a bit childish.

Raphinha seemingly knows the score, and while everyone else is involved in this faux-brawl trying to look macho, he just casually strolled away knowing that it’s all just a bit unnecessary.
